The ticking is woven from a wool and viscose blend, creating a soft surface against the skin while boosting durability for decades of use. A layer of hand-teased Devonshire fleece wool provides immediate give to allow air to move freely and moderate temperature throughout the night, followed by a deeper, resilient layer of British fleece wool that helps prevent uneven compression over time.
The spring system features a single tier of 1,716 hand-nested, calico-pocketed Vanadium steel coils in a King size. Each spring sits in its own calico pocket and responds to weight independently, so partners of different builds are supported without interference. Vanadium steel maintains tension longer than standard carbon steel, a property applied across the range. Available in Soft, Medium, Firm, and Extra Firm tensions, with King sizes that can be split for individual preferences, and reinforced with two rows of hand side-stitching to keep the border coils firm to the edge. Hand-tufting with felt washers anchors fillings in place to prevent lateral shift over years of use.
